Dr.Tarawneh currently is the acting President at Jordan Medical Association, the president of Jordan Society of Family Medicine, WHO consultant.

He is Ex-Secretary General of the High Health Council, Ex-General director of PHC, Planning Directorate, NCD, and Medical Training Directorate at MOH.

Board certified in Family Medicine, Diploma in Community Medicine, Diploma in Diabetes from Cardiff University / UK.  He has led a number of major projects within MOH. The author of over 25 peer-reviewed publications.

He is a member of: Board of trustees of Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS), International Advisory Board of Research for Health in Conflict in the MENA region .
