Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri

Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare leadership. During the past 18 years as the Chairman of the Private Hospitals Association, he played a major role in improving the healthcare sector and the quality of healthcare services in Jordan.  In addition, he is one of the founders of the Health Care Accreditation Council and currently an honorary board member.  

Dr. Al-Hammouri was ranked from the top 100 healthcare leaders for the year 2023 by Forbes Middle East. In addition, he was awarded “The Man of Achievements for the year 2023” by Palestine International Institute. And in 2020, he was awarded by the Arab Hospitals Federation “Healthcare Personality of the Year”. 

WHO Representative to Jordan

Dr. Jamela Al-Raiby

Dr. Jamela AL-RAIBY was appointed as WHO Representative to Jordan on 7 November 2021. Dr Al- RAIBY is a pediatrician with 30 years’ experience in public health, health policy and management. Dr AL-RAIBY served as the Regional Advisor for Child and Adolescent Health from 2015 to 2021, and Medical Officer for Sexual, Reproductive and Maternal Health from 2012 to 2015 at WHO’s Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean. She served as Deputy Minister of Public Health and Population from 2008 to 2012 and General Director of Women’s Health Affairs from 2004 to 2008 at the Ministry of Public Health and Population in Yemen. Dr AL-RAIBY holds a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery, a master’s degree in pediatric, endocrinology and a master’s degree in public administration. Early on in her career, she worked as a pediatric consultant from 1999 to 2004, and a family physician from 1992 to 1994 in primary health care.

She has actively contributed to the development of WHO technical guidelines and research and authored/co-authored several regional and global level technical publications. Dr AL-RAIBY has had various functions throughout her career, including support to sexual, reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child and adolescent health, leading multi-stakeholder policy dialogue for equitable and quality health service strategies with a focus on universal health coverage. She is a strong advocate for equity, women and youth rights and engagement through building national capacities. Her professional aspiration is to promote global health and development of effective partnerships towards peace and sustainable development.

Eng. Ayesh holds a MSc degree in Health Informatics from the University of Leeds – UK and a BSc degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toledo – USA.

Dr. Safa AlOran

Dr. Safaa Muneer Al-Oran is the Director of the Institutional Development and Quality Control Directorate at the Ministry of Health. She holds certifications in quality assessment and institutional excellence from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). She is also a certified innovation management professional from the Global Innovation Management Institute (GIMI). Dr. Al-Oran is an accredited trainer by the United States Agency for International Development  (USAID) in quality and patient safety. Additionally, she is a certified trainer from the British Global Academy for Training and Development (GATD). In 2021, she was honored with the Ideal Employee Award in the civil service. She is also a certified risk manager and a member of the National Subcommittee that developed standards for accreditation of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities. Dr. Al-Oran is a Member of the National Committee for Infection Control.

Prof. Samiha Jarrah

In her capacity as Vice President& Dean Prof. Jarrah is responsible for curriculum development and evaluation, quality improvement projects & strategic planning, faculty development including performance & competencies. Prof. Jarrah demonstrated experience in teaching nursing students at both graduate and undergraduate levels and administrative & leadership roles as head of community section, chairperson of community department, vice-dean, vice-dean for higher studies. In addition to experiences in accreditation with higher education accreditation committees for accrediting nursing programs at private and public universities, and supervising students in their graduate studies at local and international programs. Participated as key note speaker in national & international conferences.

In her capacity as nursing director and vice-dean for hospital affairs, Prof. Jarrah is responsible for planning, directing, and administering all nursing department activities and students training at the hospital in addition to develop programs for nursing department that enhance quality of care.

Prof. Jarrah consulting experiences with different national, regional and international organizations and NGO’s. Including directing projects such as director with Summitt Alliance for Global Health (USA) to prepare health educators in local community, consultation with CARE international, WHO to develop higher diploma community program and consultant with UNFPA for developing training programs. Participated as peer evaluator for promotion of colleagues from regional countries, reviewer and editor in national and international Journals.

In addition, participated in organizing committees for national and international conferences (Recently for Nov.2023 Member at the advisory committee for HCAC Conference). Member of research committees at National level (Jordan Center for Disease Control). External examiner for different programs of Nursing in Jordan and regional countries. Member of Board of Trustees (Nusaiba College of Nursing), Peer Evaluator with Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (USA) for all nursing programs.

Got several awards including: Distinguished Professor in Nursing, the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties, Award of distinguished & active member in community services, Applied Science Private University, Amman-Jordan. Dr Majdi A. Al Soudi

Dr Al Soudi is currently the Director of Jordan Royal Medical Services Quality and Inspection Department; He is also a certified Assessor by European Foundation of Quality and Management (EFQM 2020) and currently on the Board of Directors of HCAC. Dr Al Soudi has attended many national and international conferences and has presented talks in highly specialized sessions in topics of Designing Quality improvement programs, Assessing Healthcare Safety programs, and defining the relationship between Quality and Excellence. In Addition to the aforementioned, Dr Alsoudi also still works as a Consultant Breast and Endocrine Surgeon at RMS and has published various articles in peer-reviewed journals.
